Description

CareStar is an established leader in the home and community-based healthcare industry. We are currently seeking an Technical Support Specialist who will be responsible for providing basic to intermediate support in all areas pertaining to hardware, MS Office 365 suite of products, Amazon Web Services (AWS), remote access, and telecommunication. Recommend and implement solutions to meet business objectives. The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for deploying all company issued IT equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
• Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
• Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar.
• Serves on work groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested.
• Provide and guide appropriate technical assistance for end users to address identified and unidentified concerns in a manner that supports the current technology plans, as well as current business needs and objectives. 
• Pull and analyze data/information to generate reports and develop, recommend and implement solutions to address end user concerns, meet business needs and improve business efficiency. 
• Prioritize department needs to meet objectives. Develop and maintain project plans to meet scope and deadline requirements. 
• Ensure and foster a customer centric attitude including the adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA). 
• Maintain the inventory of the company’s assets including hardware, software, cell phones, and any other IT devices purchased by the organization. 
• Deploy computer equipment including the installation of standardized images and basic user management information per policies. Ensure equipment is returned from terminated employees and properly prepared for reissue or disposal. 
• Identify opportunities to implement process, software and/or technology improvements which meet and support ongoing business needs and objectives. 
• Ability and willingness to train other employees in all areas of technical expertise; willingness to learn and perform tasks outside of areas of technical expertise. 
• Maintain awareness of changes, developments and trends in information technology and how they can be used to benefit the organization to meet business needs; maintain industry certifications and willingness to add certifications as needed. 
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge and experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s Degree or related experience preferred.
• Three (3) to -six (6) years related work experience. 
• At least one industry certification such as A+, Network+ or MCSA.  Prefer multiple certifications. 
• Effective communication, both written and oral; ability to build strong working relationships with co-workers, customers and vendors. 
• Understanding of computer/laptop imaging process. 
• Understanding and experience installing and troubleshooting printers, scanners, multi-function devices and copy machines. 
• Understanding, configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks, VPN clients, laptop computers, and remote clients. 
• Ability to work independently, show effective independent judgement and decision -making while taking the initiative to identify and resolve problems. 
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems. 
• Knowledge of MS Office 365, Azure AD and Microsoft’s Cloud suite offering. 
• Knowledge of VOIP phones, smart phones and other telecommuting technologies. 
• Experience in supporting and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. 
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
