CareStar is currently seeking a Software Sales Representative in the Cincinnati, OH area to manage the lead generation, customer development and sales processes to expand CareStar Information Systems’ (CSIS) book of business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recognizes and develops sales leads through a robust lead generation and vetting process.
  • Executes lead generation follow-up activities, to include delivery of collateral materials, appointment setting and client outreach.
  • Collects, documents and enhances data relative to clients, prospects and key markets through CareStar’s CRM.
  • Works with Controller to develop sales reports and intelligence.
  • Recognizes the needs of the consumer and provides detailed information about the technical specifications of the software offered and configured by the Company.
  • Constructs and delivers sales pitches and presentations to exhibit software features and functionality.
  • Investigates new items and makes recommendations for product development and enhancements.
  • Advises customers on technical matters and recommends appropriate configurations.
  • Negotiates sale price to hit specified margin.
  • Works with support team to provide technical support after solutions are sold.
  • Travels to current and potential customers, as needed.
  • Helps customers maximize the use of software features.
  • Serves on work groups, community groups, committees or other task forces and attends meetings, as requested.
  • Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
  • Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
  • Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
  • Performs other projects and duties, as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Information Systems.
  • 3-5 years of field sales experience with focus on strategic accounts, including applications sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with people from various business backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability and success managing the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to contract closure and support.
  • Experience and success in a consultative, solutions-oriented sales environment.
  • Highly developed selling, customer relations and negotiation skills.
  • Possesses highly effective communication (oral and written), follow-up and interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses computer skills sufficient to enter information electronically, to use CareStar’s website and email and to demonstrate familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs and CRM software.
