CareStar is seeking candidates interested in a future Contract Developer  position with the CareStar Information Systems' (CSIS) team. This role will create dynamic custom healthcare applications by working as part of a collaborative development team, creating high quality software, working with business and product owners to understand the business value and priorities, and produceing software that creates value for the customer. This is a remote position, with the potential to be contract to hire. Minimal travel to and from the Cincinnati Office may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Two (2)-Five (5) years’ development experience

• Ability to work independently
• A firm grasp of computer science fundamentals including but not limited to object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and problem solving
• Practical experience with website software platforms, frameworks, development tools, methodologies and best practices

• SAAS applications
• Working with an Agile/Scrum team
• Experience with back-end frameworks and front-end frameworks
• Development and consumption of RESTful API services
• Effective organization skills including prioritizing projects
• Strong working knowledge in some or all of these areas:
  1. PHP
  2. AWS Aurora, MySQL, MS SQL, Relational Databases
  3. Laravel
  4. JavaScript
  5. Test Driven Development
  6. SSRS/SSIS
  7. REST and/or SOAP web services
  8. Agile development
  9. Object oriented concepts
  10. Paired Programming
